Backyard Birds

One of the great joys I have experienced since I have lived in this area is the observing and feeding of my backyard birds. I have about 15 different ones that frequent my yard. Some of them are bluejays, chickadees, sparrows, junos, mourning doves, finches, cardinals, grosbeaks, and woodpeckers just to name a few. I have also placed birdhouses around the area and that has attracted swallows to build their nests. They were suppose to attract blue birds, the State Bird, but I have not been that lucky. In the 20 years that I have lived here, I have only seen one pair and that was at a friends home. I have included pictures of some of my favorite birds and I am sharing some links that I think you will enjoy.
