This photo is taken from my kitchen
window. It shows the thickness of the ice on the
branches.
This photo is from my dining room window
and also shows the thickness of the ice plus the length of the
icicles.
This photo is from my side door and shows
the weight of the ice...this tree is bent and reaching the
ground.
Notice the broken branches and limbs in
this photo.
That puff of what looks like smoke is
actually a branch breaking off and the ice crashing to the
ground.
These two photos are of the same tree on
different days. You can see in the right photo what happened when the ice
began to melt. It took many branches with it.
Another photo from my side door.
The wires you see go to a sub-station not far from my house. That is one
of the reasons I was without power only 5 days and most people here were out for
close to two weeks.
